Construction Underway on Pfeil Miracle Field—Opening Fall 2026!

Our Mission

To provide individuals of all abilities across Northern Indiana the opportunity to experience the joy of baseball in a safe, inclusive, and accessible environment. Through community partnerships, dedicated volunteers, and supporters, we strive to build a place where everyone belongs—both on and off the field.

An elderly man wearing sunglasses and a white shirt with orange accents, smiling and holding a wooden cane. There is a logo on his shirt that reads "The Miracle League of Northern Virginia." He is outdoors with trees and a speaker in the background.

Our Story

The Miracle League of Northern Indiana grew out of a dream from Dick Pfeil, a local entrepreneur and philanthropist. As the father of two adult children with cerebral palsy, he understood the barriers people with disabilities face. After discovering a Miracle Field in Florida, he was inspired to create one in his own community—a place where everyone can play.

Vision to Reality

Building a Place Where

Everyone
Gets to Play

The Mishawaka Parks and Recreation Foundation is in the final stretch of its $5.2 million capital campaign to build Indiana’s first public, fully inclusive baseball field and play complex. These one-of-a-kind spaces allow children and adults of all abilities the chance to play, belong, and be celebrated.

Invest in the Miracle

Get Involved

A young boy wearing glasses, a red cap, and a light blue sports jersey runs on a baseball field with a smile. In the background, several children and an adult are on the field, with some holding phones. The scene is outdoors on a sunny day.

PLAY

The Miracle League of Northern Indiana offers children and adults (ages 5+) with disabilities the chance to take the field, wear a uniform, and experience the excitement of being an athlete.

VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are the heart of our league—they bring energy, encouragement, and connection to every game. Serve as a buddy, coach, game-day helper, or support our special events.

A group of young baseball players and coaches gather at a baseball field. One boy in a Twin Cities team uniform is standing with his arm raised, appears to be making a speech or singing, wearing glasses and a baseball cap. Other children in team uniforms and adults are around, some taking photos or videos.

DONATE

Your generosity fuels opportunities for players of all abilities to be welcomed, uplifted, and embraced by a community that celebrates them on and off the field. Every gift makes a meaningful difference.
